Keyway Gauge EXACTA Typ KW  EXACTA Typ KW Gauge to determine the position of a key bed towards the shaft axis
With the reversed measuring procedure described below, a key bed deviation from the shaft center line will be determined accurately and immediately.
Further it is possible to observe deviations in parallelism by moving the tenon block lengthwise in the key bed.
Measurement process: 1.
| Insert appropriate tenon block into the key bed and cramp it. | | 2. | Adjust the tool bar until the scale shows the shaft diameter. | | 3. | Slide the toool over the tenon bloc, tighten it with the knurled thumb screw and set the gauge to zero. | 4.
| Release the knurled thumb screw, slid it off the tenon block, turn the tool around, slide it over the tenon block, phasing the opposite direction, and tighten it again with the thumb screw. Read the gauge showing the offset and halve the value indicated in order to get the offset from the shaft center. |
